Portland is, as they say, an absolute unit. We adopted him along with his sister Cadi on Memorial Day 2024, and we were informed at the time that they might be part Maine Coon. Although we had our doubts about that lineage then as now given his orange-boy coloration, he is definitely taller, wider and heavier than the average cat. Portland enjoys roughhousing with his sister and exploring every surface he can access. His favorite "toy" is a box within a box, where he can sit inside a box while sitting inside a box.
As may be evident from his photo, Portland is not particularly picky about his food. However, he does have a marked preference for chunky-style wet foods with gloopy sauces versus pates. Our main concern with Portland is his weight, which we manage with measured feedings and Surefeed microchip cat feeders that strictly limit access to each food bowl to a specifically authorized cat. No double dippers in this house!
